EuroCreator

The objective of the European Year of Creativity and Innovation 2010 is to raise awareness of the importance of creativity and innovation for personal, social and economic development, to disseminate good practices, stimulate education and research, and promote policy debate and development.

EuroCreator is an initiative to encourage students and teachers throughout Europe to create at least one piece of media. The site wants to recognise and reward the creativity of young people by offering a pan-European platform for students and educators to share their work.

  • Young people aged 8+, their parents, teachers, schools, community groups and after-school initiatives across Europe can all participate.
  • Initiated and guided by teacher(s)/community co-ordinators in a school/community. Individual young people or a whole class/group can submit a single piece of digital content: either audio/video (1 min. max. video / 3 min. max. audio) or a still image.
  • Teachers manage the submissions of content and check for copyright/inappropriate material. When the content is uploaded to the site, it is further reviewed by a team of educators and any moderation performed by ADEs. End certificate delivered as a PDF.
  • The student receives a signed certificate from EU Commissioner Ján Figel’, congratulating them on their work.

Ján Figel’ is the EU Commissioner for Education, Training, Culture and Youth
